EPISCOPAL CHURCH WOMEN

Events
The February program will be on Saturday, Feb. 7th: The speaker will be Priscilla Magar, National Chairperson for the Church Periodical Club. She comes to us from the Episcopal Church in Taft where Fr. Threewit was holding services on the third Sunday of the month. The ECW Board is hosting a soup luncheon immediately following. The business meeting begins at 10am and the presentation is scheduled for 11am.

If you have any questions, give Anne Swords a call at 940-6366.

Mission
The Episcopal Church Women of St. Paul's meet on the first Saturday of each month at 10 AM in the Guild Hall unless otherwise specified. By virtue of Baptism, all women of the Episcopal Church are members of the ECW. Therefore, membership in our local Chapter is open to all the women of St. Paul's congregation.

The ECW, among other activities, sponsors Coffee Hour Receptions for major events throughout the year as well as arranging for hosts for the weekly coffee hours. This year we hosted the reception for the Commissioning of Jamie Hovland and will be planning for the visit of Bishop Anderson in June and Homecoming Sunday in September. We also have a semi annual Opportunity Drawing and Bake Sale in April (or March depending on the date of Easter) and November. We also prepare receptions following funerals when requested as well as any other events when called upon.

Our monthly meetings feature speakers, luncheons, and "angel workshops". The angels are a yearly project of the ECW to raise money to meet our annual pledge to the work of St. Paul's. This year we are directing our efforts to the support of the Youth Ministry. We are also endorsing a toy drive to assist the Santa's' Workers of the Antelope Valley in their project of providing toys for needy children in the area (this includes the entire Antelope Valley and Edwards Air Force Base).
